IRMAA Calc is a free, independent educational tool that helps Medicare beneficiaries understand the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA) — the income-based surcharge added to Medicare Part B and Part D premiums.
What we do
We turn the official, published IRMAA brackets into a simple calculator that shows your estimated surcharge and, importantly, how close you are to the next income "cliff." Because IRMAA brackets are all-or-nothing thresholds, knowing your distance to the next cliff is the most useful number for planning withdrawals and Roth conversions.
Our sources
All figures come from official 2026 amounts published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA). We update the tool when new figures are released each fall.
